The first class is free as a trial. Singles and couples welcome. Roles of lead and follow are species but not necessarily tied to gender.
The series cost = $75 per person for 5 weeks.

Why study with Tangonova? I introduced the Argentine tango to Halifax and have been teaching for over 25 years. I trained all the local teachers in Halifax, hence local students learn a similar style, more or less, and it is compatible to go from one instructor to another. My emphasis is on combining expressive and improvisational choices amidst memorized combinations. I want to get people beyond the surface, by exploring aspects of tango that make it unique among partner dances. I encourage students to mix and match simple steps, connect to one another and get on the dance floor. Above all I lay a foundation that supports both a close and open embrace, such as one sees all the great dancers use.
I offer a free trial class so you can see if you like tango. Tango is not for everyone,
