Thursday, March 25- to Wednesday, April 28 (Please read about schedule & location changes below)

Pre-Practica Class =  7-8 pm
Practica =  8-9:15 pm…$7
Class: Tango Musicality/Rhythm and Flow* (beg/int)

Cost: 6 weeks: $120 per person/with practica/includes private lesson for each couple.In the past I have found that occasional one-on-one sessions help  the student progress, as it allows the teacher to hone in on the unique qualities  each person brings to the dance, and  address his or her specific challenges.

Description:  Rather than learning more steps/figures , the emphasis will be on employing changes of tempo and dynamics   to your  current  vocabulary, so you can be more responsive to the  music, and enticing to your partner. I will present tricks and techniques that make these changes easier.  it can be challenging to the brain, and require awareness of posture, embrace and tone, but it’s worth it. You will be amazed at how your old vocabulary will feel suddenly new and different, as if you moved the furniture around in your home. Remember, the tango lead  does not need to show   fancy moves  to be captivating to the follower.

Second Motto: Tango is a music and a dance combined.  Moving thru the steps independent of the music is no more dancing than reading the lyrics of a song in a book is  singing!  Think about it.
Schedule Changes for practica and class:
Thursday April 22: The DanSpace studio is not available. Unless I can book another studio, I will hold class at my house, and there will be no practica.
Wednesday,  April 28 : Class & Practica / replacement for Thursday April 29, when DanSpace studio will have non-danceable marley floor laid out.
