7:30-9 pm
Locations: 8+ pre-registered = 1313 Hollis St

Cost = $60 for 4 classes/U-students $50
Add-on class Easter Monday, April 22, if sufficient interest.
If you are interesting in  joining this continuing Level I group,  please let me know. The class is especially suited to dancers that have taken a few beginner lessons already,  are coming back to tango after a break, and/or are  wanting a  more solid grasp of the basics. If required, a ride from downtown to my home studio can be arranged,,should the class end up there.
Take note that In May the continuing Level I group will move forward, working with crossed-system & developing the core vocabulary for close embrace social tango. See this class listed as Level II: Tango Survival Kit.
Class description: Learn to navigate the dance floor using traditional tango walking patterns, cross-lead, stops, rock steps, and 1/4 turns.
 Study  the elegant and sophisticated Argentine tango with Tangonova, the school that taught Halifax how to tango! Instructor Margaret Spore,  Tangonova Founder.

mondays, 7:30-9:00
1313 Hollis St

PER-REGISTRATION REQUested.

PAYMENT: Cheque, cash or interaction-etransfer.

Work study positions available.

Footware: smooth-soled flexible shoes that permit you to pivot are recommended. However, for your first few classes you can wear socks. No backless shoes and  no bare feet, please.

Dress: pants or skirts should allow free movement of the legs, and skirts should not be too long or billowy. Men should consider removing bulky items from their front pockets prior to dancing.

Hygiene: Proper hygiene but no strong scents are a courtesy to the other participants.

Class method: be prepared for partner rotation. Tango is a very social dance. A class of beginners progresses quicker and better when practicing material  with  a variety of partners. Rotation is an essential part of Tangonova’s teaching method. For those for whom rotation is a concern, I suggest starting with private lessons, until such time as you feel confident to rotate.
