There is nothing quite as exciting as a well-executed tango turn and ways to play with it!

 Phase II (4 weeks) =  Feb 21-  March 14 = Adv-beginner thru to Intermediate/advanced!
Phase II: Moving Interventions/ exits, entrances & blocks.  More accuracy! Working on the art and systems of turns with sacadas! Fun and challenging.
The Phase II class is currently operating as a semi-private group at my home studio. Please contact me for address if you want to join or drop-in on one class. 902-229-8585. Prices adjusted to your commitment (about $15 per class). Thanks.
This is a class for Leaders and Followers. Please come prepared to give equal attention to both roles, even if you only do one. Learning about turning is an endlessly  humbling process in tango. Leaders tend to master a few  turn patterns and use them to death. Bored followers  get lazy with their grapevines. Sacadas become a distant dream!
Phase I (4 weeks) =  Wednesday, Jan 17 – Feb 14 =  Adv-beginner & Intermediate
Phase I Focus on Tango turning systems, such as the grapevine steps and other methods. Emphasis on distinguishing lead and follower tasks and accuracy in technique.
About the topic and focus of class:
How many ways are there to turn in tango?  Why do they have in common and how do they differ?
Learn to execute the grapevine  with perfection (followers!)   and how to make  use of it (leaders!).
Not all grapevines are created equal. To begin with there is the shaping of the grapevine according to the embrace.  The grapevine provides  a predictable stable pattern upon which leaders may build, or intervene or alter.    Specific figures proceed from there.
Who is turning whom? Learn to recognize your structural role in a variety of turning situations.
